STEAM: New Way of Learning at Leap Start Early Learning Southern River

Here at Leap Start Early Learning Southern River, we recognize the importance of STEAM Learning and Ende out to give our children a leap- start:

One of the main benefits of STEAM education is that it helps children develop a wide range of skills that are essential for success in the 21st century. For example, children who participate in STEAM programs learn how to think critically, solve complex problems, and work collaboratively with others. They also develop a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, and math, which are all in high demand in today’s job market.

In addition to these practical skills, STEAM education also helps students develop their creativity and imagination. By incorporating art into the curriculum, children are encouraged to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to problems. This can be especially valuable in fields such as engineering and technology, where creativity and innovation are highly valued.

Our gardens and outside playspaces contain only plants that are either edible or have a specific purpose for the Noongar People.

This way children learn hands on and through experiences and experience, rather than rote learning.Steam: The Future Of Education

Garden phones , creeks , coloured Perspex, waterwheels, real functioning traffic lights and the opportunity to design and create their own resources and furniture are all part of Leap Start’s way of embedding STEAM learning in a fun and engaging way. We do our best to get the most out of another benefit of STEAM education, which is, that it helps children develop a love of learning that can last a lifetime.
